Sire:Man Among Boys
Dam:586 Donor (Friction)
Breed:Cross
Date of Birth:March 1st
Sex:Steer

Comments:Each year we try to start of the sale with a unique prospect that has those special physical tools that allow for success at the highest levels. Last year we offered a Red & White M.A.B. steer that was the talk of the fall sale season. He topped our sale at $42,000 and was campaigned to several championships by the Breedlove family. This year we bring you the black & white version. This steer is a full brother to lot 1 from last years sale. He possesses that same soft bodied easy feeding look mounted on an athletic powerful skeleton. Last years steer was special, but we truly believe this years version may be better. He has more genuine shape and is more extended through his front 1/3. If your serious about feeding one for a midwestern state fair then I’d suggest you make the trip to Humboldt to check this stud out in person!

Sire:Monopoly
Dam:Walrus (Meyer 734)
Breed:Cross
Date of Birth:March 1st
Sex:Steer

Comments:Monopoly has been a dominant force in the showsteer industry for nearly a decade now, cattle like this are the reason why. Big feet, perfect structure, robust center body, and phenomenal haircoat…..sounds like some key ingredients to the makings of a good fat steer! This steers mother is one of the newest entries into our donor program, she got Draft Pick, Meyer 734, and Dr. Who in her immediate pedigree, and traces back to the mother of the 2004 IL State Fair Grand Steer. This steer is super tame and was a little tough to picture, but he’s the kind that will feed and win. Big Time Prospect!

Sire:Monopoly
Dam:9 Donor (Cheap Trick)
Breed:Cross
Date of Birth:April 12th
Sex:Steer

Comments:We we’re a little short on steer numbers this year so we weaned some of the younger holdover sized calves. This steer is the product of a proven mating, he’s a full sib to multiple high sellers including the $48,000 baldy steer campaigned by Vicklands a few years back. He’s probably more sized to be shown in the fall or as a holdover for Denver or Ft. Worth, but this steer is built as good as anything in the sale! Long necked, smooth patterned, great structured, and deadly good looks. Buy this one now before he gets more mature and is resold for a pile later in the fall!

Sire:Monopoly
Dam:Star Donor (Full Flush)
Breed:Cross
Date of Birth:March 1st
Sex:Steer

Comments:This red steer is out of one of our most consistent steer producing donors. There have been several highly successful Heat Waves & Monopolys out of this cow including the many time champion campaigned by the Line Family a few years back and our 2012 high seller purchased by Guyer & Bonham. This steer was one of the best ET steer calves in the group this spring, but unfortunately had an accident getting hung up between two trees in the pasture prior to weaning. It has set him back a bit in terms of bloom, but he’s gaining fast. If you trust in this mating’s track record, you’ll be glad you did, the pieces are there to be good again!
