Rewards offered for stolen cattleNine head of mixed 500 lb. steers and heifers stolen from Kalvesta area

Irsik Family Partnership of Garden City has reported nine head of mixed 500 lb. steers and heifers stolen from pens five miles north of Kalvesta. The recently weaned, mostly black baldie calves have a “U” notch in the right ear and a red identification tag in the other. These cattle most likely were taken during the overnight hours September 26-27.

KLA is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this crime. The reward is offered when cattle, livestock equipment, tack or pharmaceuticals are stolen from a KLA member.

Anyone with information on the cattle or those involved in the theft should call the Finney County Sheriff’s office at (620) 272-3700.
