Kansas Beef Expo 2014

There was a theft this past weekend at the 2014 Kansas Winter Beef Expo at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.

The following was posted on Kansas Beef Expo’s Facebook page on Monday:

Kansas Beef Expo Attendees

First of allI want to thank all of those that exhibited and attended the Kansas Beef Expo. Unfortunately not all of those in attendance had good intentions. Sometime Saturday evening or Sunday early morning several banners and trade show display items were stolen from the show ring and trade show area. I am sure those involved just wanted a souvenir from the show but after looking at the final tally of the stolen goods it does qualify it as a felony charge. Along with that they would also be facing burglary charges. This is a very serious matter. Not only does this affect the great folks that have to replace the stolen goods but it also effects everyone that exhibits cattle at the Expo. These sponsors put up funds out of their own pockets to help pay for awards and payout to the exhibitors along with covering expenses to run one of the greatest shows in the country. It goes without saying that these sponsors were not only hurt by these actions but are not very happy people.

The Kansas Beef Expo has video footage of the theft. I would like to extend an offer to those involved. If you would kindly pack and ship the stolen goods back to our offices within 10 days we will not press any charges and you will not be reprimanded for your actions. If you so choose not to ship the stolen goods back to us, we will be forced to release the photos and security footage of the act and not only will you be publicly humiliated but you will also force us to proceed with criminal felony and burglary charge.

I ask anyone that sees this to please share this to ensure the culprit sees this message and hopes to choose the first option.

You can ship the stolen banners and display items to the following address, if anyone has any information on this please let us know. We would sincerely appreciate it and want to do everything we can to keep our generous sponsors happy.
