I’m a sucker for good shorthorns..I mean the kind that have substance and power..they are hard to find nowadays. This heifer’s now deceased mother was the most impressive shorthorn cow I’ve ever encountered, and has a track record that is hard to match when it comes to raising high end shorthorn steers. 732 has produced multiple steers that have won the shorthorn division at Midwestern state fairs, and perhaps more relevant to this sale, 732’s daughters have been killing it in production. Two of our past four bred sales have been topped by daughters of 732 (2019: $15k and 2021: $26k) both those cows have raised steers ranging from $7500 to $25,000. We had a litter of these perfection heifers and are sharing two of them with you on this sale. They are both EXTREMELY high quality. This one is a TH FREE and is little bigger and longer necked. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that there will not be another cow quite like this sell this winter! I picked this cow up from my good friends the Metzgers. Every time I’ve seen her over the past few years I’ve tried to buy her, because I think for the production of “Classifier” shorthorn steers for the southern market her generating potential is OFF THE CHARTS! She has never been bred to a “club calf” bull to this point (she has only had simmental sired calves so far). She’s big boned, big haired, perfect structured, and has the boxy build it takes to raise showsteers. As unique a shorthorn appearing female as you will find for sale this year!!! (TH & DS Test results pending)
