Another “little sister” type project here. I’ll go ahead and ID the sleeper breeding heifer prospect on the sale. She’s the one I would have angled for when I was a showman for 3 reasons. 1. My budget was always limited and I had to choose something green, but correctly structured that would get overlooked by others. 2. I wanted to watch them get better each day with the goal of trying to win as a big bred coming 2 year old in the fall and winter when you could get hair without a cooler, and 3. I needed them to come back home and be cows. I love this heifer for all those reasons. The topography of our picture pen has caused some of these cattle to look humpbacked and weird loined in their videos since they’re walking uphill. I don’t really read this heifer (and several others) that way when she’s haltered and walking on level ground similar to the modern show ring.
