Details for Lot 17 Sire: Monopoly Dam: Carly Donor DOB: 2023 Sex: Heifer Breed: Chi Consignor: Chad Rieck 641-202-2360 Brett Henningsen 563-726-1480 Wayne Lents 641-344-9367 Dave Rieck 641-202-2164 Comments: This is another one I didn’t want to put on the sale but not because she wasn’t ready but because of what she is and who she is out of. This is the last calf we will get out of Carly who was Carson’s Res Div AOB heifer at the American Royal a few years back. Carly was a greener heifer with big time potential when we got her and I feel the same about this one. When you make them good legged, good hipped, big belly, flat shouldered and a beautiful neck you have something special. You better buy this heifer before Carson changes his mind and decides he needs to show her!
Details for Lot 23 Sire: Icon Dam: M-19 (Irish Whiskey x Analyze This) DOB: February 2023 Sex: Steer Breed: Maine Consignor: MS Cattle Co – Mick Sitzmann – 712-541-8492 Facebook – MS Cattle Co Comments: When I made these embryos, I decided not to sex them because I thought the steers from this mating would still have some marketability behind them. So in Spring 2022, I decided to put four Icon x M-19 embryos in with hopes of getting a few more heifers because I knew I was already heavy on steer matings that I was planning to put in. I got four pregnancies. All four calves were bulls. I should have known better. Nonetheless, this is another steer that has all the right pieces to be an awesome fat steer. He is probably the biggest steer on the sale, so he should definitely be another easy feeding type that will do the hard work for you. This steer was a late addition to the sale pen, so he still has his horns. If the buyer would wish, I will get the horns taken off before you pick him up. With being a late addition, look at that hair coat. He also has a tremendous attitude for only being tied up a handful of times.
Details for Lot 20 Sire: Icon Dam: M-19 (Irish Whiskey x Analyze This) DOB: February 2023 Sex: Steer Breed: Maine Consignor: MS Cattle Co – Mick Sitzmann – 712-541-8492 Facebook – MS Cattle Co Comments: A breed steer. A baldy steer. A steer with a zipper front end. A hairy steer. A steer that isn’t going to take a physicist to feed. All things that every kid and parent is looking for. Well luckily for you, I’ve got one that fits every single one of those requests. This is one cool dude and he knows it. I have had a soft spot for this steer since he was born because of that white face and I know there are others out there that are thinking the same thing. Maine Junior Nationals are in Springfield, MO next summer and I think this one would be a heck of a project to take. All you have to do is have the winning bid on the 20th and then he will make it a heck of a ride from there.
